Keramikkunst bei Pentik in Posio
Die finnische Einrichtungskette Pentik hat ihren Sitz in einer kleinen Gemeinde im Süden Lapplands. Der Ort liegt fernab jeglicher Zivilisation, doch ein Besuch dort lohnt sich, denn die Firmenzentrale lockt gleich mit drei sehenswerten Ausstellungen.
Pentik-Firmenzentrale in Posio
Anu Pentik ist eine finnische Designerin, die aus Kuusankoski im Südosten Finnlands stammt. Ihre Erfolgsgeschichte beginnt allerdings im Norden des Landes - in Posio, einer kleinen Ortschaft, knapp zwei Autostunden von Rovaniemi entfernt. Hier stellt Anu Pentik in den 1970er Jahren gemeinsam mit ihrem Mann erste Keramiken, Kerzen und Kerzenhalter her. Die Produkte aus der kleinen Werkstatt finden reißenden Absatz und ermöglichen der neu gegründeten Firma einen rasanten Aufstieg. Heute zählt Pentik zu den führenden Einrichtungsläden in Finnland - mit Dutzenden von Filialen, in denen Geschirr, Textilien, Küchenartikel und andere Dinge mit dem firmeneigenen Logo angbeoten werden. Auch in Schweden, Norwegen und Russland unterhält Pentik bereits Niederlassungen.
Produkte zeitloser Schönheit

Zwei Worte reichen aus, um die Produkte aus dem Hause Pentik zu beschreiben: zeitlos schön. Ob das nun die Brotkörbchen mit der eingelegten Stoffserviette sind, der Rentier-Kerzenhalter zur Adventszeit, die Suppenkelle aus Edelstahl, der kunstvoll gestaltete Wandteller oder die kuschelige Tagesdecke: Alles wirkt harmonisch, gemütlich, zum Wohlfühlen. Leider hat der Zwang zur Globalisierung auch vor diesem so typisch finnischen Unternehmen nicht haltgemacht: Seit einer Firmenkrise in den 1990er Jahren lässt Pentik einen Teil des Sortiments in Asien produzieren. In Posio entstehen nach wie vor in handwerklicher Tradition hergestellte Kleinserien, wie die Firmenchefin 2007 in einem Interview verraten hat.

Am Firmensitz in Posio bekommt der Besucher natürlich das umfassende, stilvoll präsentierte Pentik-Sortiment angeboten. Außerdem lockt das Firmenareal mit gleich drei sehenswerten Ausstellungen: Im Obergeschoss des Hauptgebäudes befindet sich ein kleines Heimatmuseum, in dem das Leben früherer Generationen dargestellt wird. Vor allem die Wohnräume wurden mit viel Liebe hergerichtet und wirken sehr einladend. Im Untergeschoss des Pentik-Hauses ist ein Kaffeetassenmuseum beheimatet. 2.000 Exponate darf der Besucher hier bewundern - thematisch ansprechend aufbereitet. Abgerundet wird ein Besuch in der Pentik-Zentrale mit einem kleinen Abstecher in der Anu Pentik-Galerie: Hier zeigt die Hausherrin vor allem zeitgenössische Keramik-Kunst.
Die Firmenzentrale von Pentik finden Sie in Posio, einer Gemeinde mit rund 3.700 Einwohnern, die im Osten Lapplands an der Fernverkehrsstraße 81 liegt. Von Rovaniemi aus sind es ungefähr eineinhalb Stunden, von Kuusamo aus etwa eine Stunde mit dem Auto. Der Weg zum “Keramik-Berg” ist beschildert.
